Hi, I am Julie. I am from Millersburg, Ohio.
I am a single mother of a wonderful, ADHD son. He takes all
of the left over energy I have, which is not much. I am working
full time, right now as an Assistant Manager at Burger King.
The hours are long and I am on my feet all day, but I really
like to work, although it is getting harder to make it through
the day.
I was diagnosed 5 years ago, when Joshua was
one year old. I was having a very hard time doing anything.
I had days that all I did was feed him and sleep. At first,
I thought it was depression alone. Then after coaxing from
my sister, I saw a doctor. He ran some tests and discovered
that I had Rheumatoid Arthritis. When the medicine protocol
was not helping all of my symptoms, the doctor I was working
for at the time did more tests and discovered that I had Sjogrens
Syndrome.
It has been rough, as I do not have very much
family support. My sister does what she can, but she does
not live close enough to help with the everyday things that
I need. I am so happy to be part of SjSworld. This has been
a wonderful blessing for me to know that I am not alone and
I am not crazy with the symptoms I have.
